With our busy schedules, skin care routines are often not given enough attention. But with the immense pressure and stress that comes with living a boss life, our skin is usually put through a lot, we neglect drinking enough water, put layer upon layer of make up and maybe even fall asleep in make up. And yet… we still expect our skin to flourish through all of this.

The celebrities’ skin care routines shown below demonstrate that it is possible to maintain good skin care even with our fully booked calendars.

Bella Hadid

The super model is unintentionally a Dior fan. Bella cleanses her face with the Dior Hydra life Lotion-to-foam fresh cleanser. She prefers a light moisturizer, opting for the Hydra Life fresh Hydration Sorbet Creme moisturizer. Lastly, to prepare her skin for make up, she uses the Glow Better fresh Jelly mask.

Constance Wu

Constance Wu uses Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes as her cleanser, or “just water” she says. She follows with the Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum which she uses because it was a Sephora recommendation. This is subsequent to the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and the La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream which she uses as a moisturizer. She then tops it all off with sunscreen which would be the La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 or Missha All-Around Safe Block Soft Finish Sun Milk EX SPF 50+/PA++ . Finally, she uses concealer.

Margot Robbie

The Neighbours star prefers to use the Skin111 sheet masks in preparation of events. Either than that, Margot uses the Dr Lancer cleanser and La Prairie moisturizer at night time.

Victoria Beckham

Although she constantly had to worry about covering up spots when she was younger, Victoria Beckham’s skin complexion is absolutely glowing as she is into her skin care, she said to the gloss in this interview. She uses the CosMedix Purity Solution Nourishing Deep Cleansing Oil as a cleanser. Alternatively, she uses the Dr. Barbara Sturm Enzyme Cleanser. She uses the Lancer The Method: Polish as an exfoliator which is a grainy and abrasive solution. She uses one of the four serums which she considers as the best:

  • Sarah Chapman Skinesis Stem Cell Collagen Activator
  • Biologique Recherche Oligo-Proteines Marines Sérum Authentique
  • Biologique Recherche Splenodermine Sérum Authentique
  • iS Clinical Pro-Heal Serum Advance+

She then uses either the La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Lotion, This Works In Transit Camera Close-Up or the Augustinus Bader The Cream as her moisturizer.

Kendall Jenner

So Kendall (my personal favorite) uses home remedies such as well-beaten eggs with lemon juice on the face for 30 minutes to improve the quality of her skin. She also uses lemon juice and baking soda and pure honey to soothe the skin. Skin care is one of the significant things that she does to keep looking radiant.

Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys’ skincare routine is very interesting because it has enabled her to stay make-up free and still have amazing skin. She too struggled with acne for years caused by heavy makeup, however, her skincare routine has managed to keep her looking more beautiful.

Alicia uses the: MV Organic Skincare 9 Oil Cleansing Tonic Cleanser, Eminence Clear Skin Probiotic Masque, Eminence Rosehip & Maize Exfoliating Masque or SK-II Facial Treatment Mask masks to add some moisture to the skin. She makes use of the minence Lip Trio Kit for her lip treatment. MV Organic Skincare Pure Jojoba face oil which mimics the natural sebum that is produced by our skin.

Lucy Hale

Lucy has one of the strictest skin care routines due to her very sensitive, acne-prone skin skin. For this reason, she keeps her skin care routine fairly simple she told StyleCaster. Her skin care routine comprises of Obagi products because they are very gentle on skin. She uses the Obagi Nu-Derm Gentle Cleanser or the Dr Lancer Cleanser. Her choice of toners is the Obagi Nu-Derm Toner or the well-known Biologique Recherche Lotion P50.

She prefers either the iS Clinical Active Serum, SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF or SkinCeuticals C + AHA … she incorporates quite a number of serums as you can see. When it comes to moisturizer, she chooses from the following: Chanel Hydra Beauty Crème Riche , Lancer The Method: Nourish or yet another Obagi product, the Obagi Hydrate Facial Moisturizer. Lucy Hale does not skip eye cream; she uses the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream or Kate Somerville Goat Milk De-Puffing Eye Balm . She then tops it all off with the SkinCeuticals Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF 50 sunscreen.

Blake Lively

The Gossip Girl star has a skin care routine that I personally can relate to the most. She says that although she wishes she had an elaborate routine, she usually does not end up getting to it. Regardless, she prioritizes a good moisturizer and make-up remover to ensure that her skin remains clean, soft and supple. I guess only people with great skin such as she can get away with such.

Aurora James

This creative director’s skin regime interestingly prioritizes drinking a liter of water every morning. She starts off her skin care routine by applying Argon Oil or Aesop’s Fabulous Face Oil. She then ensures that she applies Origins A Perfect World with SPF sunscreen all year round, regardless of the weather. Being a minimalist, she has one of the simplest skin care routines. Regardless of this, Aurora James prioritizes moisturizing her entire body with either virgin or coconut oil. Her routine includes a number of lifestyle implications including ensuring that she gets a full 8 hours of sleep every night.

So as you can see, with this vast selection of beautiful women with different skin types, it makes creating your very own skin care routine very simple.

The main tip here is that there is no straightforward formula or product to use on your skin, it is a trial and error process. Do what works for your skin and adjust as needed.

Use the abovementioned advice as a simple starting point and then pay attention to how your skin responds. And most importantly, change only one product at a time so that you may track the differences in your skin.

Lastly, this video from Beauty Within gives an in-depth explanation on how to build effective skin care routines. It will answer any questions that you may have including the required steps, and how to customize your routine for your skin type.
