Quick and Easy Meals:

If there is one thing that I have learnt living by myself is that, cooking healthy meals for one is not easy. To overcome this, you can do one of two things:

  • Meal Prep for the entire week
  • Make quick and easy meals

These are both great ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle in a quick and easy way. My main focus will be on the quick and easy meals. If I am going to get up and make myself a meal every single day, it should take me between 15 and 30 minutes.

I use the Yummly app to look up recipes and save (or “yum”) them for later. It is more of a database of recipes from different websites.

What is great about this app that you can filter out the recipe you want based on the different ingredients that you want to include or exclude from the recipe. You can set the amount of time you want to take preparing the dish. Lastly, you can actually schedule time in your calendar to prepare and cook the meal! This is such a great feature. I have listed my favorite quick and easy meals to make after a long days work. Most of these recipes have few ingredients and they all take less than 30 minutes to make. The most important point is that they are healthy meals too.
