Listening to podcasts is a great secondary activity for any mood…literally! You can listen to them on your commute to work or even whilst cleaning the house. They are a great alternative to listening to music, PLUS you generally will learn a lot from every podcast episode you listen to.
I find that the best thing about podcasts is that you are basically virtually hanging out with the hosts of the show. You get to know over time and you’ll begin to relate to them. It’s just awesome.
You can a lot from podcasts including business tips, financial lessons and empowering tips. See this post for women empowerment TED talks.
Here is a list of the best podcasts, especially for 20 something women. I obviously have my favorite shows, but this list in no particular order.
The Let’s Discuss Podcast is hosted by Ella Gregory and Monica Welburn. And it is definitely my best podcast, I wish they published more than one episode a week. The podcast is basically about their experiences as they navigate through their twenties. They address common problem that women in their twenties experience. You will definitely relate to almost all of their episodes. What is unique about this podcast is the dynamic between these two friends, which is why it is my favorite podcast.

CALL YOUR GIRL FRIEND
The Call Your Girl Friend podcast is definitely the place to go to for real talk on issues around politics and pop culture. The hosts Aminatou Sow and Ann Friedman are funny and great to hang out with. When I first started listening to this podcast, I was so impressed by how they present a different perspective on their topics. You will definitely enjoy this podcast, it will leave you feeling like a true “long distance bestie.”

THE LIVELY SHOW
The Lively Show by Jess Lively is a podcast on intentional living and the law of attraction. I found this podcast very fascinating as this is a topic that I had heard of, but I was definitely not familiar with. Having listened to it, I feel like Jess and the people she brings on the show are pushing themselves and are living life on another level. There is definitely a lot to learn from this podcast so be sure to check it out.

BAD WITH MONEY
Bad with Money with Gaby Dunn was one of the first podcasts I listened to it when I started out. I was drawn to it because it is a podcast about finances. When I started listening to it, I found that it was more than just a money podcast. Gaby brings a fresh approach to the taboo topic of money. She is easily relatable and you will gain a lot of knowledge in the process.
Favorite Episode: The Gender Pay Gap (aka Why there aren’t any female elevator operators)
